Pom Pom Time

You may have heard your children talking about "Pom Pom Time," and I wanted to take a moment to explain this exciting initiative we've started.
Pom Pom Time is a dedicated opportunity for the children to recite memorized Bible verses. Here's how it works: every time a child successfully recites a verse and shares where it is found in the Bible, they earn a pom pom, which they can place in a special container. Once the container is full, we will celebrate with a special cupcake party!
We encourage you to participate in Pom Pom Time by helping your children practice verses at home. You might find verses during your family devotion time that resonate with them. Then, on Sundays, they can recite these verses to us.
This initiative encourages our children to engage deeply with Scripture and fosters a supportive community where they can grow spiritually together.

Prayer Board

We are excited to share some wonderful news about our Children's Ministry. As part of our Sunday School wrap-up sessions, we have a special time of prayer with the children. It has been truly heartwarming to witness their enthusiasm and genuine care for others during these moments.
One of the highlights has been our Prayer Board, where congregation members leave their prayer requests. The children have eagerly embraced the opportunity to pray for these needs, demonstrating their growing connection to our church family and their willingness to serve others in prayer.
Scripture encourages us to "pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests" (Ephesians 6:18). I am delighted to see our children actively participating in this important aspect of our church family.

Children's Choir

We are excited to announce that the children's choir is back! Choir rehearsals will take place twice a month after their Sunday School Class. This is a wonderful opportunity for our children to express their musical talents and participate in singing to the Lord during our worship service.
If you have any questions or would like more information, please feel free to reach out to Duane White or Cindy Aguilar.

Advent Season Activities

As the Advent season approaches, we'd like to share the exciting activities we have planned for the Children’s Ministry:

November 24: the children will begin an Advent curriculum that will continue on December 1, 8, and 22.

November 17, 24, December 1, and 8:
The children will participate in Children's Choir at the usual time, right after Sunday School, as they prepare for a special presentation during the Worship Service in December.

November 24 (during Connect):
The children will help with the hanging of the greens, join in singing, and create Christmas cards for children in local hospitals.

December 15:
The children will have the wonderful opportunity to work on a special pottery project with Mrs. Ellen McCorkle. This will take place from 9:30–10:30 AM, so please ensure they arrive on time.

December 22:
After Sunday School, the children will receive their completed pottery projects, and we will celebrate Christmas together with a special time of fellowship.

We are looking forward to this joyful season of worship, learning, and service with your children!
